Want to "jazz-up" your stamping?

Do you sometimes wish you could jazz up your cards a bit?  Here's a checklist for you to go by to take your stamping to the next level.

* Layer your cardstock and/or add Designer Paper
* Alter your edges (tearing, sponging, piercing, stippling)
* Stamp a background with ink or Versamark using an individual image, wheel or large background stamp
* Use punches for large layered shapes, tags, words, corners, borders
* Color your images (markers, Blender Pens, Stampin' Pastels)
* Sponge a mask under/over your image
* Cut out your image for layering or 3-D affect
* Mask your images
* Use markers, paper piercer or white pen to add borders & highlights (3-D effect, stitching, dots & squiggles, doodles, etc.)
* Add embellishments (glitter, brads, buttons, ribbon, hemp, etc.)

New Stampers' 6 Club Forming

I will be starting a new Stampers' 6 Club in January.  This is an excellent way to build your inventory and learn new techniques.  But, what if you don't live here?  No problem!  You can still join us and I'll furnish you with the project materials and assembly instructions each month that we use.  These items will be included with your monthly order.  Or, you can form your own club and I'll do the work for you.  See the next paragraph about this!    Check out the flyer for more details!  We're just a bunch of teachers who get together once a month to stamp and have a blast! 

Are you interested in gathering 5 of your friends each month to have fun?  Contact me about forming your own Stampers' 6 Club.  I will furnish all of the materials for you each month with all instructions.  Then you and your friends can gather round YOUR kitchen table and have a blast.  You gather orders, send them to me, and they will be sent directly to you for distribution at your own Stampers' 6 party!  In a separate package, you will receive all pre-designed and pre-cut paper products along with instructions for use.

Too Cute! Office ATCs

I just found the cutest thing on Word Trix by Heather.  These aren't Stampin' Up!, but they are too cute not to share!  She got caught up/bored at work one day and decided to be creative.  Look what she did with some copy paper, post it notes, and other ordinary office supplies.  On one of the trees, Heather even used a Hershey Kiss wrapper to make a garland for the tree.  OMG!  Now, how creative is THAT? 

   

And to think that when I get caught up, I try to find something to do!  Hah!  Never again!  (I'll just have to make sure I have a stash of "good supplies", right?)

STAMPIN' UP! RETIRED LIST REVEALED

When a new Stampin' Up! catalog & idea book is introduced, a list of stamp sets goes into retirement to make room for new stamp sets. Yesterday, Stampin' Up! revealed a list of those stamp sets to gear up for the NEW 2008 Spring Summer Catalog & Idea Book coming January 1. Click the links below to view the retired list of stamps sets which are still available through December:

Click here to view the dormant list. The dormant list includes stamp sets from the 2007 Fall-Winter Collection that are not included in the upcoming 2008 Spring-Summer Collection. These sets can be found online and are considered current Stampin' Up! product. Items from the Holiday Mini will not appear on the dormant list, but they are not retired. Stamp sets and wheels from mini catalogs will not be included on the dormant list. The retiring wheels and accessories list will be available online December 10. Is it a pumpkin? Is it a Christmas ball? Is it a Place card? You decide!

Browsing around this morning and came upon some of the cutest ornaments.  You have got to check them out.  First off is Stephanie's darling pumpkim.  Now, how cute is this?  Some people just amaze me with their talent.  I truly wish I could look at an oval piece of paper and "see" a pumpkin! 

From the pumpkin, came some gorgeous ornaments made by Emily.  I can just see an entire tree covered with these, can't you?  These ladies just amaze me!  I'm going to have to give these a try.   

    

JoAnna, over at Crafty Kid,  has even posted a tutorial on her site.  Zip on over there to see how she did hers.   She used them as Placecards.  Too, too cute!
